Introduction

Welcome to Spiritlinc. We are committed to protecting your privacy and handling your personal information with care and respect. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our faith-based relationship ecosystem, including our website, mobile application, and related services. By using Spiritlinc, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this Privacy Policy.

Information We Collect

When you register and use our Services, we collect personal information including your name, email address, phone number, date of birth, gender, and password. We also gather profile information such as photos, physical characteristics, location, faith background, relationship preferences, lifestyle choices, fitness interests, and personal values. Your responses during our mandatory virtual interview process are recorded to help us understand your compatibility preferences better.

We automatically collect certain technical information when you access our Services, including your IP address, browser type, operating system, and device identifiers. We also track usage data such as pages viewed, features used, and time spent on the platform to improve your experience. General geographic location based on your IP address helps us connect you with singles in your area. We use cookies, web beacons, and similar tracking technologies to enhance your experience and analyze how our Services are used.

In some cases, we may receive information about you from third parties. If you connect your social media accounts to Spiritlinc, we may receive information from those platforms. We also work with faith-based and fitness event organizers who may share information about your participation. For safety purposes and with your consent, we may use background check providers to verify identities.

How We Use Your Information

We use your information primarily to create and manage your account, facilitate matching with compatible singles based on shared values and faith, enable communication between members, conduct virtual interviews, and organize curated events and experiences. Your information helps us personalize your experience and improve our matching algorithm through analysis of usage patterns and development of new features.

We communicate with you to send important account updates, provide customer support, share newsletters with faith and fitness tips, and notify you about upcoming events and community opportunities. To ensure the safety of our community, we verify identities, prevent fraudulent activity, enforce our Terms and Conditions, and comply with legal obligations. We also use your information for business operations including processing payments, managing subscriptions, maintaining records, and protecting our legal rights.

How We Share Your Information

Your profile is visible to other verified members according to your privacy settings. Basic compatibility information is shared with potential matches, and your attendance at Spiritlinc events may be visible to other attendees. We share information with trusted third-party service providers who assist us in operating our Services, including payment processors, cloud hosting providers, email and communication services, analytics providers, customer support platforms, and background check services. These providers are contractually obligated to protect your information and use it only for specified purposes.

If Spiritlinc is involved in a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, your information may be transferred, and we will provide notice before this happens. We may disclose your information when required by law, in response to valid legal processes such as subpoenas or court orders, to law enforcement requests, to protect our rights and safety, prevent fraud, or comply with regulatory obligations. We may also share your information with third parties when you provide explicit consent, such as when sharing your profile with event sponsors or connecting with faith-based organizations.

Your Privacy Rights and Choices

You have the right to access the personal information we hold about you, update or correct inaccurate information through your account settings, and request a copy of your data in a portable format. You may delete your account at any time by navigating to Account Settings and selecting “Delete Account” or by contacting our support team at support@spiritlinc.com. Upon deletion, we will remove your profile and personal information, though some data may be retained for legal or business purposes.

You can control communications by adjusting email preferences in your account settings and unsubscribing from promotional emails using the link provided. You cannot opt out of essential service communications such as account security alerts and policy updates. Through your privacy settings, you can control your profile visibility, location sharing preferences, match notification settings, and event visibility options. Depending on your location, you may have additional rights including the right to restrict how we process your information, object to certain types of processing, receive your data in a machine-readable format, and withdraw previously given consent.

Data Security

We implement robust security measures to protect your information through end-to-end encryption for sensitive communications, Secure Socket Layer (SSL) technology for data transmission, regular security audits and vulnerability assessments, and secure data storage with access controls and authentication. Our employees receive training on data protection and privacy, and we limit access to personal information on a need-to-know basis. All service providers sign confidentiality agreements, and we maintain incident response procedures for data breaches.

Please help us protect your information by keeping your password secure and confidential, logging out of your account on shared devices, reporting suspicious activity immediately, and being cautious about information shared with other members.

Data Retention

We retain your information for as long as necessary to provide our Services, maintain your account, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and prevent fraud. Information is retained while your account is active. Profiles may be deleted after 12 months of inactivity with prior notice. When you delete your account, most information is deleted within 30 days, though some data may be retained for legal purposes for up to 7 years. Messages may be retained for safety purposes even after account deletion.
